Need black right inner door handle Hi everyone. I took my door card off today (eventually) to deal with the window regulator. Somehow, the inner door handle lower screw (torx head coarse thread) was bent at a severe angle and I couldn’t get it out. I ended up breaking the handle on the door card. The card is fine (fortunately) but the handle is broken and I don’t think epoxy is going to hold it. I need that, and both the upper and lower torx screw to hold it on to the door frame. I managed to lose the top screw carrying the card inside to re-attach (again) the standoffs, so now I need both… I need to get this back together in a reasonable time frame so if you have a decent handle and screws let me know. Thank you | | | 07-20-2022, 07:33 PM | #2 | Moderator Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Bouncing off the rev limiter in CT! Posts: 3,156 | Still available from the dealer but it's $88 now... No emergency. | | | 07-21-2022, 07:06 PM | #9 | Moderator Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Bouncing off the rev limiter in CT! Posts: 3,156 | Oh, on topic: I ordered the handle from the dealer along with a bunch of hardware to put everything back together. About $140.00 (handle went from $13 in real OEM to $88 today) I know there's a tutorial for repairing windows, but I'm planning to post the excruciating details of my repair of the panel posts. They are NOT coming off the card again. | | | 07-22-2022, 12:40 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Nothing has changed on this end. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 07-22-2022, 01:12 PM | #11 | Moderator Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Bouncing off the rev limiter in CT! Posts: 3,156 | Yeah, it's strange. I probably shouldn't have access to the mod section if I'm not a mod any longer... But that icon/button does not show on the computer or the phone. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
