Default Thermostat housing

Found my problem but not sure what I will need to remove to make the hard job easier. My thermostat housing has a broken male water line broke off, I found the loose hose with the piece from the housing in it. Now how do I replace it? I was wrong it is on the back side of the engine and it is the heater hose housing that needs replace. Any thoughts on replacing it IE: what all can or should come off to make it easier to get to. Plan to replace both heater house and thermostat housing and flush with new hoses as well.

Sounds like your car is telling you is time for a cooling system
Rebuild not expensive at all take a weekend or a few free days and take care of that better than having to rebuild or replace the engine there's a DIY here on the site
