Default Rough Idle and other questions

My 3 day old ti is idling rough and the hose is crumbly and needs replacement. Here comes the questions:

1. Where the hell do I get BMW parts!?!!? I recently realized that I under appreciated my honda... the junkyard and craigslist were my best bets for getting honda parts, and everything was cheapcheapcheap. After two days of murrays/autozone/ect. searching I fear I'm going to have to go to the dealer to find this hose since no one seems to carry these parts.

2. Where do I find inventory #'s for parts so that I can (for example) order them from the dealership or give them to murrays so they can convert them to their parts supplier's database # and search their computers to see whether or not they've got it.

3. Can I just make this hose out of lengths of similar sized hosing and clamps, or do I NEED the pre-formed hoses?

4. I don't feel like I can find things on realoem very easily/efficiently, is there another place online that I should be looking?

Thanks, sorry to threadjack a dead thread.

Default Question on Rough Idle

Question on the rough idle. Does a locked A/C compressor or possibly failing alternator have something to do with rough idling, because sometimes at night when I turn on the lights or I turn the car back on after use, the idling goes a little crazy, as if it were to stall again?

I had the ICV replaced several months ago because not only did it have the idle problem, but the idiot who worked on the car last put silicone on the ICV and i had the idler pulley replaced at the same time. I forgot to mention that on the previous statement, but I was referring to the possible symptoms stated on my last post to be the source of the problem because I didn't have the idling problem again until my A/C compressor locked up on me. And I have noticed lately that I think the idler pulley might be failing again because I can hear a whining noise when I rev the engine.

Hi, I just got my 99 ti a week ago. The idle was sometimes erratic so I checked the spark plugs, they were BOSH make with two side electrodes. Checked some posts and learned that they are not recommended so I got NGK Platinum and restarted the car. The change was obvious right away. Stable idle and no vibrations. Will see in time but it's a cheap improvement...
