So I've been daily driving the ti for about a week now since getting it back last Sunday. One word:

Amazing.

Still. Mike Radowski made some tweaks to the tune for the forged rods. Makes more torque and more horsepower at less psi! Last time he had a Mustang dyno and gave it back to me running 18psi. This time he has a Superflow Autodyn and only ran 17psi. Said it was breaking up above 17psi and that that the likely culprit is coils. (I'll replace them soon) Mike said his Autodyn is a slightly stingier than his old Mustang. Still managed to massage 460whp and 420 tq out of the ti on a 413 ECU.

The only thing I don't like about driving this car, is traffic. It seems I'm behind way too many slow drivers!

Went to the track on Tuesday. I equaled my personal best with an 11.6 @130MPH. I also set my best 60' but on a run where I lost traction in 2cd and 3rd. (sun set and the track cooled down big time). 60' on that run was a 1.84. Drove it to and from the track. Didn't add any race fuel, just Sunoco 93. There was a ZR1 there that I wanted to race, but didn't get the chance. It ended up running a 10.99 @ 134 MPH. (awesome car, on street 20" tires no less!) I was running my 275/40R17 MT drag radials.

Thumbs up

Just lost interest in your build, and gained an extreme sense of your always going to be one step ahead!!! JK I'm very excited for you!

I was hoping for the fastest 318ti in the USA next year or two!

Hahaha good luck man, you ought to reinforce that rear area with goals like those!

Sorry John. It just has to be done.

Dude, when stuff breaks, I'll fix it. I'm still running the SAME axles that were in the car when I purchased it!

If/when I start breaking axles, or pulling the mount off the floor.. then yeah, I'll do something about it. (M coupe rear swap?.. Yes.)

After seeing Mike messing around with E85 for a couple hours and making 700hp on his stingie dyno at 21 psi... I had to pull the trigger on the DTA S80. I had contacted the guy I bought it from two months ago.. the graph of Mikes car just pushed me over the ledge. We'll see how I do with a street tune and trips down the 1320.. but if this turbo doesn't give me 10's at 135mph+, I'll have to go large on that too!

Any tips on fueling is welcomed. I've never set up fuel lines, so this will be my first attempt. Should I add another Walbro 255 and be good? Or would two Aero 340's be better? I figure I'll do them both in tank, one in each side of the tank. Know of any good write ups/diy threads on this? I'm a complete novice I feel. (My fabrications skills are poor, but I'd like to take my time and do a nice job with this)

M coupe - no need, just beef up your trailing arms "box" them in, I'll show you what I'm doing and I'll test her out for you too!

I would say dualing walbro's should do nicely, as that's my plan too! A single 255 is good for ~800whp apparently on normal gas, so figure 35% less than that for E85. 800-35% = 520... double them up and you should have a pump setup for 1000whp!!! Make sure you run dedicated heavy gauge wires to both pumps from the battery, with a relay. Voltage drop on the stock wires is substantial that your single 255 probably isn't capable of 550whp with stock wiring!!! Do you have a billet fuel rail yet? I want one, and Mike R. should have the hookup for around 300bones, I have no money for that kinda stuff till next winter but if your looking for 700whp, I would say it's safe to say you may want a bigger rail!

Dude, you "quoted" me so nicely. How was that done effectively?

I figure I'd need the M coupe axles as well though, no? I would like to retain the ability to run 15" wheels though. Next year I'm getting some hoosier drag radials mounted up on 15" wheels. Give me the extra flex I'll need to get a better 60' (and finally break an axle?) Either way, show me what you're up to!

That other kid on bfc made 825whp at 26psi.. with 725 ft lb of torque!! That's just nutty numbers. I am completely sold on this stuff.

Mike made 900+ on 35psi or so. (easily 1000whp on a dynojet) I can't wait till he goes to the track. He's suppose to give me a heads up when he does. We'll see.

Thanks for the tips on the wiring. I'm definitely running new wires. No billet rail yet, but my buddy (Multiplex) makes them. His last one is promised to Jon (smallsnails) but he said he'd think about making another batch. If so, you want one? I think it's $200 or so.. And he can powdercoat it for $15 and even inscribe something on the rail if you like for another $15! "Hatchgrafix" Perhaps? (I'm not doing bubela) If not, I'll be getting one off Radowski.

Why do you have no money for this stuff until NEXT winter?! That's like, a whole nother year away..

Just quote my post, and look in the quoted part how I did it.

"http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1429080" - I guess maybe we should upgrade to the M-coupe trailing arms!!! I just didn't want to because the wheel offset gets bumped way out. I think I'll stick to the stock e30 axles with my power goals, but by all means I agree if you want to make huge power those would be an excellent decision!

Nice, I am a couple bills short for that right now. I need ZF trans, clutchnet clutch, custom driveshaft, dual ear diff cover, all the welding supply's and I'm planning on a cage this winter too! OH and a new windshield and springs front and rear. (i'm on the H&R race springs for the 4 cylinder * it's practically on bump stops with the big six up there!!!)

Yeah, gotta have goals to keep you interested! Short term, and long term! It's not like e36's are going out of style, and my job doesn't allow me to be the first to do anything big! lol

Oh nevermind.. I just tried quoting my post and it didn't work the way I thought...

Basically copy and paste the "[QU0TE=bubela;315690]" part before each paragraph or item of importance. Then finish it off with "[/qu0te]" then return down a line, and answer the question or make your comment. Rinse and repeat!!!

I used a 0zero in the quote so that it wouldn't try and quote you!

Hope that helps!

[QU0TE=bubela;315690]This is a line of important turbo bmw stuff that's way cool!!![/qu0te]

This is my canny response to the above part

[QU0TE=bubela;315690]This is a new line of more awesome 318ti turbo stupid fast stuff.[/qu0te]

This is me crying inside for a higher paying job!!!

That's funny, but you see the difference between you and me is a couple of things:

I do not have a girlfriend (and even when I do, the following still happens: )

I do not have much of a "going out" life and instead spend most of my money on my car! (Also helps that I have 3 roommates helping to pay for the mortgage.)
