We took the southern route this time, it was a little longer, but got to go through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico on the way back. All the animals made it one piece too...they're getting to be quite the little travelers. ezippy clicked over 305,000 miles and the vert is now 180,000. Not happy to be back here, but circumstances were beyond my control and I can get a much better paying job here...then I can trade in the vert for a 335i convertible and buy a house in SWFL just like I planned on doing two years ago...only I won't bother taking anyone else along for the ride. Some things are better done by yourself...that way you OWE no one anything. I've always accomplished MUCH MORE alone than with anyone else. | | | 07-07-2015, 06:25 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2012 Location: Sacramento, CA Posts: 2,451 | Good luck Cindy Lou! __________________ 1998 318ti Sport - "Cali" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, Cali top 1998 318ti Sport - "Max" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, S52 1997 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior 1995 318ti Active - "Blanca" Alpineweib III/Schwartz leather interior Other Current Bimmers: 2006 530i / 2000 2.3L Z3 / 1997 1.9L Z3 / 1999 540it 1997 318ti Sport - "Huera" - RIP 1995 318ti Active - RIP 1995 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Sold 1994 325i Sedan - "Jade" - Sold 1991 318ic - "Bert" - Sold 1985 635csi sold 1984 533i "Max" Sold 1984 318i sold BMWCCA #160411 SUPPORT 318ti.org! I want to give a lot of thanks to my very special friend who is letting me couch surf at her house. She has Stage 4 terminal breast cancer and a son who is having a lot of issues with his diabetes (she's spending the night at the hospital with him tonight). She also works full time and she's a very, very special angel. My kids had no room and my family...well let's just say they're not really family...didn't want the headache. Seems to be a popular theme in my life these days. I have my kids and grandkids here and my friends, sometimes that's all you need. I don't know where I'd be without their support. I've already had one job interview, another scheduled for Wednesday and a lot more opportunity here. If there's one thing I do well it's starting over from scratch. | | | 07-17-2015, 02:28 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Denver, Colorado Posts: 3,212 | No sure what happened and i dont wish to know. The less i know the better. But i do wish you luck. Also if you ever need to get rid of ezippy please let me know. I dont mind buying another ti. | | | 07-17-2015, 04:25 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Rocky Mountains Posts: 610 | Quote: Originally Posted by elchicano No sure what happened and i dont wish to know. I'll drive him back to Florida again some day and he'll be my beach buggy again. I have him now, the vert is at Import Mechanics having a squeal looked at. My son has had him for the past couple of weeks, he took him out to Centennial Airport and drifted him...said it was fun. | | | 07-18-2015, 07:15 AM | #6 | Moderator Join Date: Mar 2007 Location: Maryland Posts: 3,220 | Best wishes to you and your new chapter in life, may the Ti go far with you! | | | 07-18-2015, 05:50 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Rocky Mountains Posts: 610 | Quote: Originally Posted by BMW_Hatchback Best wishes to you and your new chapter in life, may the Ti go far with you! | Thanks...the vert needs to have the idler pulley and tensioner replaced. Then I can sell it and drive the ti. I've had a couple of really good job interviews so hopefully I'll be back to work soon and I'll be in my own place. I love my friend dearly but she already has so much going on...I hate being a burden to her. This "homeless" thing sucks. I've never been in this position before, and I never will be again. | | | 08-01-2015, 03:00 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Rocky Mountains Posts: 610 | The vert has been sold. It made me cry and very sad to have to sell it for financial reasons. At least a mechanic at Murray BMW bought it and will fix everything that's wrong with it. It was a great car for the almost 8 years I had it. It had a 181,988 miles on it when I sold it. Barely covered the money I put into it in the last 9 months, but it will be well taken care of. Now to get the A/C fixed on ezippy and new shocks put on. I'm going to be super frugal for the next 12 months, buy a house in SWFL, pay for it from here and then buy my 335. When someone kills your dream, find a new one...I'll be back in SWFL and at the beach...at least I have enough free time to fly there every couple of months and hang out. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
