Default Looking to buy this 96...

I'm looking at this 96 ti with the M package. It has some Dinan upgrades, but I'm not sure which parts, there are several Dinan serial #s in the engine bay though. The seller is the second owner, and as far as I can tell he did not have the upgrades done, cause he doesn't seem to know too much about it. I had him take it to Bimmerworks in West Chester since it needed inspection, I'm waiting to hear from them if everything is okay. He's asking 4600, which I think is high, but what should I look for and what is a good price on it?

I test drove it last week and it felt solid, made some suspension noises, he said it used to be lowered but it was too low so he took it back to stock height. My current car is an STi, and I hear suspension noise all day so it didn't bother me at the time, but is this normal?

The leather was all messed up, front seats, steering wheel and shifter. How much would it cost to replace that stuff?

Thanks for any advice.

my suspension used to make noise, it was the rear shock mounts and/or shocks on their way out, when he returned it to stock height he probably just used all the original stock parts so that might be why

I'd say 3500-4000 would be a more reasonable price, but I don't know what the market is like where you live
