That would explaine why the driver side has a bit more ware then what I would have expected from a 98. The cars details are beging to surface... | | | 12-10-2005, 04:37 AM | #17 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | The sides wear. I now have my own libary of car literature of specs and info of potential cars I will own in the future...E46 et all., IS300 and RX-8. Since it seems like kind of a pain to get the kit and install heated seats, or do a swap which could be rather expensive, you could put a heating pad on top of the seat. Cover it up with a seat cover and then buy one of those power inverters to plug it into the cigarette lighter. It might not look very good, but to have heated seats would be nice, and you could remove/install it in five mins come sping and winter. And if you wanted the back of the seat to be heated get another one and attach with elastic straps or something. __________________ "Winning is the most important, everything is consequence of that" ~ Ayrton Senna | | | 12-20-2005, 04:31 PM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | You can buy aftermarket pads for for your car. I dont know how expensive they are or how much it would be to instal them. Im sure that they would be less then the ones from the factory though. | | | 12-20-2005, 06:24 PM | #22 | Member Join Date: Jul 2005 Location: Calgary, Alberta Posts: 89 | Aftermarket Since winters are cold in Canada, there are many aftermarket heated seat options. Simple from a heated seat cover that plugs into the cigarette lighter (about $50 canadian per seat) There are also auto upholstery company's that will install a heated seat kit into any car for about $250 per seat ($200 usd). It is actually cheaper to do that than most factory installed heated seat options. Check out some auto upholstery places. I am sure that they would do it. | | | 12-20-2005, 07:42 PM | #23 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Summers are cold in Canada. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
