I've just picked up an RFID system for my bike. Get within a few feet of the bike and it'll start, walk away and it stops/wont turn on. Hiding the ignition barrel too so the only way to steal the thing will be to put it in a van/truck.

The system I bought is crazy tho. The RFID range on the system, before my modification, was like 40'.

Interesting, got any details on the manufacturer?I'm guessing doing a clutch bypass on an already modified (mated) clutch system would be tricky, but that seems like a pretty smart way to keep your vehicle safe. I was considering Lo jack, a viper system and an immobilizer

"K-9 Sombra" http://www.adelcom.net/K-9-sombra-Page.htm
I'm following schematics that a guy wrote up to get the functionality I want. It doesn't function as remote start but can unlock your car (which I'll be removing from the unit since... I don't have doors ).

edit: it does have immobilizer options as well

Wow, what a bargain, almost seems too good to be true

You should see what viper is trying to get for it on their site...whew. I figured I might as well not start cutting corners now. Especially considering thefts on customs like this are on the rise

So Ive been thinking about my interior a lot more recently but am getting frustrated with the wall that we seem to have hit.

I dunno, just considering some ways to make it feel more substantial. I've been looking into alcantara accents but matching sand beige is a bitch and a half...plus their aren't a lot of distributors of raw alcantera out there. Ideally I would like to do the headliner, A beam covers, shift boot and an armrest in matching alcantara, I'm just waiting for that perfect sample to come my way

Gotcha guess since your burning up all that cash in the project might as well do it your way all the way huh

Yeah, the interior isnt what's all that frustrating(money can buy all of that) its the painfully slow process of the wiring

Ultra suede might be an option for the roof, and some other surfaces.. Depending on the source it looks a lot like Alccantera....

Cheers
Dave
