The part number for the NLA retrofit kit cross references to a U.S. 318ti:
E36 318ti Compact, USA
E36 316g Compact, Europe
E36 316i 1.6 Compact, Europe
E36 316i 1.9 Compact, Europe
E36 318tds Compact, Europe
E36 318ti Compact, Europe
E36 323ti Compact, Europe

Surely it can retrofit into a US model 318ti, but I don't believe it was an option on US spec. cars. At least, I've never seen a single ti (or any E36, for that matter) here in the states that has this option.

^^^^
I needed to get the part that clips to the PDC but it was NLA when looking at a 3 series.
It is the same part used on a 7 which was available.

Previous owner installed one.

that is ironic!

I am still getting used to driving a car that feels so similar yet has about a foot extra sticking out the back... it's making my parallel parking go to ****
