Default Imobilzer Question

Alright guys, I'm having trouble with my ti. The car is not turning over so I had it towed to a shop. They are saying its the Imobilizer and needs to be replaced and reprogrammed which will cost around $600 and I can't afford that at the moment so I was wondering if I can just bypass the Imobilizer. I want to make sure if it's possible first before i cut some wires lol. If anyone has done this before please let me know how it went. I'm not worried about it getting stolen so whatever will make the damn car start works for me. The car is a 98 m44 so i'm guessing its a ewsII. Thanks!

It depends on which year of TI, and build date, earlier copies can be disabled by cutting a wire to the ecu, later reprogramming is the best way, search around on here for Nick G , EWS.
