Default Airbag front seat mat

Airbag light is on. Took our 98 ti into the dealer and it looks like the passenger seat mat is the culprit. They are telling us 250 on the part and approx 250 to have the upholsterer put the leather back together after they are done. Does this sound about right or are the prices outta wack? Thanks in advance!

I've always had it done under warranty so I don't know how long it should take. The good news is once they replace it it propably won't go bad again. I think the problem was that the wire was too short.

There is a write up on how to install heated seats. It might give you an insight how much of a pain it is to replace the passenger mat.

price is good. it would save a little to remove the seat yourself and take it and the part to the upho. shop. the sensor is only avail. from the dealer.

Cool. Thanks to both of you! I will be taking it in to the upholsterer the dealer has suggested. Hopefully it will be a quick deal.
