Default z3 shifter swap

I'm doing an m52 swap and decided to do the z3 shifter swap while I'm at it...

I had to get m52 shifter linkage and selector rod for the motor swap and used a z3 shifter

It looks like I am going to have trouble with the selector rod scraping aginst the harmonic balancer on the drive shaft...did I pick the wrong selector rod..should I have gone with a z3 selector rod?

im not completely sure, but the selector rod has to match the transmission. if you using a getreg, get a solector rod for a getreg. if your using a zf, use one for a zf. this may be the problem? like i said, not completely sure.

no that's completely false...you need to swap or modify shifter components when swapping engines but opt to keep the stock getrag transmission
