I just recently ordered two new ones for my Ti, but i am not to sure where the filters are located in the car. I read online that i have to take my glove compartment out and remove a few other pieces and they will be right there in a box. is this right? i havent tried to take it apart yet i wanted to make sure they are there before i start digging away. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | 07-07-2006, 07:47 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Puerto Rico Posts: 885 | __________________ BMW...MY NEW TOY Mods: Some plastic parts, ///M Wheels and me | | | 07-07-2006, 08:21 PM | #3 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Read that link Father put down. It's pretty easy if you follow that. Just a few quick things,it's not behind your glovebox it's underneath your hood. You have to remove the wire harness assembly which is located behind the intake manifold, you have to remove the screws just to get it out of your way. I did this last spring and took me about 45 minutes. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 07-14-2006, 09:04 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Memphis, Tn Posts: 1,299 | i would like to say thanks for the help and information on how to change out the microfilter. i just got done replacing both filters in my car and damn the old filters where pretty dirty and looked kinda old. i see now that i will be changing these filters every 15,000 miles like it is suggested. plus changing the filters was pretty easy and fast. __________________ custom dual exhaust,M3 front and rear bumper, 10.4 inch roof mount drop screen, Viper alarm system, DSII's rims, M3 Vader Seats, M3 Mirrors, Carbon Fiber CAI, Smoked Corners, Side Markers, Leatherz armrests, black grilles 225k miles and still the Ti goes on | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
