Default HID Xenon Headlight Conversion Kit Group Buy

THIS GROUP BUY IS CLOSED

We're buying HID Kits from Eagle Technologies. $150 + priority mail shipping within the US, PM for out of US. TO check shipping go to USPS.com and search shipping for 3lbs 8oz from 08559 to your zip. Those not marked "PAID" still have to pay me via paypal or another method (discuss with me, my msn address is pnosker (2) at hotmail.com). You can also google talk me at pnosker@ gmail.com. PAYPAL $+Shipping to pnosker at pnosker.com. Note which bulb type and color temp you want too please in the payment box.

If there is still interest in a GB for more kits, the new minimum is 15 (we had 15 orders last time including a couple of friends of mine). Price is $150 + shipping still, after payment, it took 3 days for shipment last time to me, and 2-3 days from me to the members. It was a pleasant experience and I'll post some pics from my kit. I am very impressed with mine, and I'm sure the other members will be as well. Manufacturer is Eagle Technologies in Guangzhou, China. Color temps are 4.3k, 5k, 6k, 8k, and higher if needed with all bulb types available.

PICS HERE: http://pnosker.com/318ti/Pics/Eagle/

IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN STARTING ANOTHER GB WITH THE SAME COMPANY, PM ME!!

Well honestly, I have no idea how customs works in the UK. I've only shipped internationally to Canada and to the UK for regular mail. I'll look into how customs works and get back to you. Also, you have a PM.

In theory, if the bulbs will fit, you don't need ellipsoids. But, I would recommend against the stock US lights because the plastic will eventually melt since the bulbs are longer and will be much closer to the plastic edge of the housing. I suggest the Depo lights from http://www.umnitza.com/. You'll get a much higher quality light that way.

Default just a thought...

Hello,

I'm somewhat new here... Been lurking for a little while, and finally purchased a ti a few days ago. Anyway, my intention is ONLY to give you my thoughts. I don't want to start any waves or try to sabotage this group buy, as I know they take a lot of legwork for the coordinator to setup. I do give a big thumbs up to the coordinator for taking the time to research and communicate to the vendor. Something that easily gets overlooked on the internet.

I just want to offer my thoughts and personal experience... Anyway, I chose to pay a little bit more for the HID setup because I have read about premature failures and malfunctions (both inside and outside a year). Rest assured, I am not affiliated with any aftermarket car manufacturing company or anything of the sort -- I'm just a fellow bimmer enthusiast.

One thing you might want to find out from the vendor is the cost of replacement parts (outside of their warranty period). And then judge cost of ownership from that perspective.

I chose to go with a company called Xtec. I know that Xtec offers a LIFETIME warranty on parts... They tend to cost a little more "up front," but in the long run could work out to be cheaper in the sense that you don't have to pay more for replacement parts. I purchased an HID set for my m3 a couple years ago, and had a ballast go out on me after about 1.5 years of ownership... I called the manufacturer, and normally would have costed $130 for one side. I only know this because that was the deposit they charged on my credit card for the return item, which was credited back to me when they received the faulty part. And get this -- they covered postage for the part -- both ways!
