Was OK in the beginning, but now getting our child in and out is impossible. Will really miss this car, it's great (but don't buy to commute kids!). Two owners, my wife and I (I am a professor) and my mother in law who we bought it from about 5 years ago. 135,000 miles, daily commuter, really good shape. Pics coming. Here is a quick look at the specs 1997 318tiA Morea Green paint Sand Grey Cloth Interior Electric Sunroof Heated front seats Active Package Automatic LoJack Six-CD changer ASC Quirks: The analog gauge sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. The digital works fine. This has been like this since its inception. If you use the active computer, you are fine. Oddly, the low-fuel indicator works, even when that gauge itself is in one of its moods. The airbag light has also always been on. The airbags are fine, never been in an accident I have had it checked numerous times and I am assured that it is fine. The brake light is now on and the brake light on the passenger side is not working since I just got it serviced and new brakes put in! This was done in January, I have no clue about this, but the brakes are fine! In fact, they have never been better! The cloth is slightly stained, and there are a couple nicks in the paint, but it is in great shape. No dents, no rust, nothing major or even close to major. This car has been only dealer serviced. I can get the records, but there is nothing major, radiator replaced, window regulator, water pump etc... I absolutely love this car and wouldn't sell it unless we had had a kid. Again, I will post pictures tomorrow of the car. I got a 3,300 offer from the dealer which was admittedly low on their part, as part of a trade-in. They said it was negotiable (if I wanted to buy a 5-series, gotta love the dealers-AH!). Anyway, I have been on this site over the years and I think this car could go to a good home. Email with any questions. | | | 04-21-2008, 04:58 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | You might wanna add a price. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 04-21-2008, 11:40 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Northern New Jersey Posts: 9 | I did not mean to be overly vague about the price. I am very flexible here. I think anything around 3,500 would be what I am looking for (I would rather see someone here get it at cost than BMW jacking up the price to 4,999 and selling it again). Sorry, I didn't mean to be oblique about this. This range would be the lowest I could do (as I can get 3,300). If there is more than 1 person interested, that could raise the price, I guess. I am going to advertise it here at and my University, that's it for at least a week. | | | 04-21-2008, 01:15 PM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Northern New Jersey Posts: 9 | Pictures (I hope) pics can be found here: http://cogneurolab.com/id25.html I am trying to get them shown here. | | | 04-21-2008, 01:23 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Northern New Jersey Posts: 9 | Pics | | | 04-22-2008, 12:41 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | click the paper clip on the top of the reply box to attach pics | | | 04-22-2008, 02:52 AM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Northern New Jersey Posts: 9 | Pics should be here... Not big on the drool factor. I will pass this site on, was great when I need to get parts, or see what I could repair etc... | | | 04-24-2008, 04:40 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2007 Location: Eugene Oregon Posts: 6,182 | we all almost started off by falling in love with a basic stock ti. its the body style im in love with and then you add a few things and it become your ti not just a ti. your was great! and i would have loved to have it. but that goes for every ti here lol __________________ -Josh Sold-1995 318ti, Club Sport, Hellrot Sold-1996 318ti, Active Model, Boston Green Current- 1995 318ti, sport model, schwartz | | | 04-24-2008, 05:16 PM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2004 Location: Northern New Jersey Posts: 395 | Ah, my ti was only modded visually, and very slightly i might add. People here embraced me though, and helped me through many tough times and tedious repairs.
