Default New TI owner

Hi all, on Sunday, I went up to look at a relatively cheap 1995 318ti. It's aplineweiß with the dark purple/blue interior. The seller bought the car from the original owner in 2013 and added nearly 130k to the odometer, bringing the total to 288k!! He took good care of the car, including a recent (20k ago) clutch and numerous other miscellaneous maintenance stuff as needed. The M42 performed well, and the trans sounded and felt great (a little sloppy for my liking, but nothing an upgrade knob and bushings can't fix). It has the typical rust starting on the rear wheel arches near the bumper, but this car is going to come to college with me and experience some snow. It's sitting on H&R sport springs that ride really well and has Bilstein HD's in the rear. I know it needs front struts as well as pads/rotors all around. I also will need to replace/repair the passenger side sway bar mount as it rusted away and was poorly "fixed" years ago.

I'm a British car mechanic and fabricator and have had a slew of RWD Volvo's, a 1987 528e (5 speed), and some W123 Mercedes. I really liked the way the car handled and felt light as well as the peppy 4 banger. I've grown up as an aircooled VW guy and have driven buses, so this car feels really quick and tight in comparison.

The best part? I paid $750 for it
