New tires performed great in the rain/cold. | | | 01-01-2015, 10:59 PM | #32 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2005 Location: Laguna Beach Posts: 357 | Hi from a neighbor, I'm in Laguna Beach, have two Ti's, both 96's both slick tops and both Alaska Blue. My first one I purchased in 2004 with 71k miles. It has been my daily driver ever since, now at 173k miles. It has the original M44 engine and been well maintained over the years. In May of 2013, I bought another Ti from a .org member in Virginia with a S52 swap, M3 trans and exhaust and medium case 3.73 LSD. I have added M3 front brakes and MZ3 trailing arms, axles and brakes. Definitely need more stopping power. It took 5 months to get the BAR sticker from the referee so it is Cali legal now. Good luck on your build, we should get together to compare Ti's Roger | | | 01-02-2015, 05:58 PM | #33 | Member Join Date: Aug 2012 Location: Laguna Niguel, CA Posts: 76 | Quite a pair of ti's Roger! We definitely need to meet up. I'm almost certain I've seen your car(s) at Cars & Coffee and/or SoCal Vintage... My father-in-law is in Laguna Niguel as well and has a black 99 ti and a (mostly) henna red 95 ti. This should be in the SoCal meet thread. | | | 01-07-2015, 06:00 PM | #37 | That's not Millpoint Blue Join Date: Apr 2005 Location: BNA Posts: 3,161 | OK... No bueno. Replaced the battery with a fancy Bosch unit, car starts better than ever. Also just did an oil change and fuel filter a few weekends ago. In other news, I was getting tired of the lack of noise from the ti. So I got something louder. So sadly to say, the ti will be going up for sale shortly. The M3 mirrors and glass headlights will come out as they were on loan from my father-in-law. He also wants the caster/camber plates but I am trying to talk him out of that, as I dont want to swap those and leave the coilovers on up front.
