I'd call turner... The early m42's used in M30's and early e36's have a different coil pack than what was used in the ti. My car is an M42, but I use a M44 style coil. If you are looking for low cost, try AutohausAZ (you can get a Bosch wire set there for around $100). If you are looking for performance, try http://www.hqautosport.com/products1.html (although I don't know if this really has any performance gains, it looks great and is a deal if you needed a coilpack, too | | | 06-11-2011, 03:07 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | Quote: Originally Posted by matt318 how much is a coil on plug conversion? | Search for "COP" or Ultimate COP something like that its a long standing thread. I really like the idea and reliability of the c.o.p. setup, and thats extremely cheap compared to wires. thanks guys | | | 06-14-2011, 10:22 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | nice looking bay there, Tom. I wonder if that intake would fit the M44 and if it would do anything as a performance boost over the dual plane | | | 06-14-2011, 10:42 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: MD/PA/DC Posts: 1,629 | I did my COP conversion all by myself for 30 bucks. I was in the same boat, needed wires then saw post on how to do your own COP conversion. __________________ No more ti. | | | 06-15-2011, 05:23 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by Mad-Machine nice looking bay there, Tom. If the stories all add up. It does look like the 6 cyl E36 manifold in a way... Would love to make one myself and save 300 bucks if possible. The m44 kit is nice but so much more expensive than the m42 kit... | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
