Also check the intake boot for cracks. Start with those and after that it become more then a 10 minute inspection. __________________ ***Derek*** ^^Lola^^ Pioneer radio/ Pioneer 6-Disk CD Changer/ JBL 601.1 Grand Touring Amplifier/ Bilstein Sport shocks/ Bilstein e36sedan springs/ Green LED Courtesy Lights Accident Counter: 3... | | | 08-26-2012, 10:37 PM | #3 | Member Join Date: Oct 2010 Location: jersey Posts: 95 | i checked it all over undid it all changed filter, and it seemed to helped...then after a few starts its back to a lagging start, doesnt happen when warmed up, but cold it does.. | | | 08-27-2012, 01:24 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Bethlehem, PA Posts: 1,106 | kind of just sounds like the starter. mine went from starting up just fine, to a few rough starts when the motor was cold, to just randomly starting if it wanted. I assume it is just that. a shop should be able to tell you pretty quick. | | | 08-27-2012, 01:34 AM | #5 | Member Join Date: Oct 2010 Location: jersey Posts: 95 | i am assuming it is that too. you have a shop do it or is it a DIY project for a day? thanks for the input | | | 08-27-2012, 01:39 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Bethlehem, PA Posts: 1,106 | i didn't do it myself since i heard it was hard to get at. even the shop i took it to complained that it was difficult to get to. maybe not though (thinking back, i had 2 cars at that time, not sure which one he was talking about). I guess it depends how handy you are. maybe wait for some other feedback. | | | 08-29-2012, 03:47 PM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2012 Location: MA Posts: 14 | When you say you "help it" to start, are you pressing the gas and then it starts? How does the starter sound when you crank the engine? Same as it always did or is it cranking very slowly? Is that what you mean by lagging? | | | 08-29-2012, 06:30 PM | #8 | Member Join Date: Oct 2010 Location: jersey Posts: 95 | sorry! just a weak battery issue, did not update. all fixed. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
