Just feeling it out. Good luck unless some is parting a Club Sport. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 07-12-2012, 12:59 AM | #3 | Member Join Date: Apr 2012 Location: SoCal Posts: 49 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti Would anyone be willing to swap out a sweet limited edition interior for a plain old gray interior? Good luck unless some is parting a Club Sport. | I don't understand your sarcasm. They're the same interiors including the cloth pattern. The sport interior, red or silver came on Sport models of any year, not just 95 club sports. So, I'd guess they are equally rare depending on if your exterior paint color came with red, black or silver optioned sport interior. On top if it, I'm not even sure I want to trade. I like the silver, but the red catches me eye. I like the red stitching... Here is my stab at the color of appointments for the sport models: red paint: red or black white paint: silver or black silver paint: silver or black Last edited by JdevTi; 07-12-2012 at 01:06 AM. | | | 07-12-2012, 01:03 AM | #4 | NOBODY F's with the Jesus Join Date: Oct 2006 Location: Ventura California Posts: 7,824 | Personally I like the grey. It matches your car better. | | | 07-12-2012, 01:13 AM | #5 | Member Join Date: Apr 2012 Location: SoCal Posts: 49 | Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 Personally I like the grey. Of interesting note, I just ordered a new shift boot because mine has gotten tight and worn from the sun. The only sport boots that BMW sells now are the black stitched ones, no gray or red (I'm not sure about the european option blue). The same is true for the e-brake handle and boot - only with black stitching. So, I did order the black one anyway, and am looking for someone to stitch it with the correct silver stitching. Just fyi if you're thinking about ordering these parts for your interior. I know JdevTi is just kinda toying with the idea and a direct swap would be far easier than having things reupholstered. Another suggestion, if you're up for it Jason, is to find a set of vaders in less than perfect condition and have them upholstered in a color/material of your choice. I picked mine up for 400 bucks and plan on having them redone in a leather/cloth combo. Just a thought, but if red millpoint suits you, more power to ya! | | | 07-12-2012, 02:00 AM | #8 | Member Join Date: Apr 2012 Location: SoCal Posts: 49 | Quote: Originally Posted by cooljess76 Red millpoint is certainly less common than grey millpoint, but IMO only flows well with certain exterior colors. I'm not up for serious projects like that really for the interior. I just thought if someone liked silver they would chime in. If no one shows up, that's just easier. I didn't think it would bring out trolls though. lol. | | | 07-12-2012, 02:30 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by JdevTi I didn't think it would bring out trolls though. lol. | I'm a troll?
