Does the adapter plug into the oem radio cassette deck, enabling you to put an oem head unit back into a ti that had the original adapter cut out when someone installed an aftermarket head unit? (Does your adapter plug into an OEM head unit)? Thanks for a reply.

Good question - My TI still has the original stereo. These parts came with a lot of parts I bought from an M3 owner. My understanding is that this adapter plugs into the factory harness and then you splice into your aftermarket head wires using the pigtails. This way you can replace the factory head with no signs of alteration in the factory harness.

Now that I look at the pictures I think that you are right. The oem harness has two sets of pins. I'm looking for an oem harness. Take care.
