I have a 1995 Clubsport(according to all who viewed my VIN) My question is what is a fair price. I've noticed that some out there are posting their's for 10K plus. Mine isn't tricked out and the paint is fair. I'm selling it because I don't need it. If I can't get a fair price I'll hang onto it and make it a project, since it doesn't cost me hardly anything to keep. Thanks for any input/ opinions. It has 131925 OG miles. Interior is red/black leather, with only 1 small tear at the seam. | | | 01-22-2014, 10:22 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: SW Florida Posts: 4,275 | I wish I knew what to say. I vote for you keeping it. These cars are interesting to watch sell. Like you stated, they are listed for as much as 10K sometimes. But, are they worth that? I don't know. __________________ Sean 1995 Active | | | 01-22-2014, 10:25 PM | #3 | Moderator Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: SoCal318ti Posts: 1,574 | Keep it if costs to keep are not a problem, a clubsport will be worth lots more in a few years and in any case a 318ti is a great car to have as a spare car!! | | | 01-24-2014, 12:17 AM | #4 | Member Join Date: Oct 2010 Location: California Posts: 37 | 1995 Black Clubsport I will put it out there for 5K and see what happens. That price probably keeps my wife happy and may keep it in my hands for a few more years. Thanks for your input. | | | 01-24-2014, 01:33 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Bethlehem, PA Posts: 1,106 | interesting, you do not see many of these. If you are unsure if it is clubsport, (and I could be wrong) but an easy way to tell is they should have M3 style mirrors and were only produced in 10/95. not many left at all, good luck with the sale, you should get the 5k you are asking for __________________ Check out our new website! https://soltechsolutionsllc.com/ Green Your Decor with the Aspect! If there is a LSD in there too....($+) Original condition is desired in the Club Sport, not "tricked out".($+) If you've owned it for a long time also ($+). Sounds to me like it could have several things going for it. | | | 01-24-2014, 02:21 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | I have a Black CS. Where do you see them for 10K? Maybe a well sorted M3 conversion. Let's face it. A 95 Club Sport only means something to us. To anyone else it's almost a 20 year old entry level BMW. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 01-24-2014, 03:57 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Posts: 1,364 | From time to time I have seen non-Club Sport ti's with the black and red Club Sport interiors. Usually silver. BMW must have had some Club Sport interiors left over. | | | 01-24-2014, 07:28 PM | #9 | Member Join Date: Oct 2010 Location: California Posts: 37 | 1995 Balck Clubsport It is definitely a Clubsport based on the VIN and pics I posted when I first bought it. It's pretty much stock and wheels are still the same. Someone may want this in the future. Entry level dosn't mean much. Cars are getting smaller and maintenance on any other BMW is through the roof. Parts for this little beast are not cheap. When I took it to the dealer, some of the service writers came out to reminisce and couldn't believe the condition. I've seen similar cars in Hollywood and Los Angeles and they look like crap. I got this one for cheap(under 2K) because the owner didn't want to fix the over heating issue. I wasn't looking for this type of car, but I need a inexpensive vehicle and ended up with what a lot of people and friends say is a great car for the price. | | | 01-24-2014, 11:20 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Los Angeles, CA Posts: 1,464 | I'd possibly be interested in taking a look at this car, if you're serious about selling (I'm in Long Beach). Although the "previous overheating issue" is a red flag. What all was fixed/replaced to remedy the issue? __________________ 1995 318ti Base - Cosmosschwarz/Sandgrau R.I.P. 1997 318ti Active - Alpinweiß III/Sandgrau 2013 328i Coupe - Le Mans Blau | | | 02-08-2014, 07:00 PM | #11 | Member Join Date: Oct 2010 Location: California Posts: 37 | 1995 Black Clubsport Over Heating issues were resolved 2 years ago.. New radiator solved the problem, but I put a new cooling fan, just because the one it came with looked crappy. email. rich@musicalapparel.com | | | 02-10-2014, 06:23 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2011 Location: SoCal Posts: 702 | did you buy it pretty recently? (last couple months/half yearish)? I know there was a black one that was going for cheap - 2500 that also had previous over heating issues but looked pretty decent. __________________ ***328ti Build thread. *** Even more important: SUPPORT 318ti.org! The car runs very strong and only has cosmetic issues... Chipped paint, worn but not torn seat (driver) small crack on reverse lens, but other than that, it kicks. I drive it all over. I used to use this when I delivered blood for the Red Cross and had to go as far as San Diego and San Luis Obispo and never had a problem.
