i searched for the exact rims on the sticky above, but got deep into the 19"ers without finding the ones i am asking about. these are pretty standard rims on an e46. they are 17", 7 spoke. look to be the same as the ones shown on this car: (though its hard to see)
http://newjersey.craigslist.org/cto/3128245327.html Assuming all stock suspension;
i have little doubt that the rims themselves should fit. But the stock tire size (on a pair i am looking to buy) is 225/45/17 which is 10mm larger than the stock size (205/60/15) translated to 17" upgrade which would be 215/45/17. So given that the tire width is already wider and the height is +-1/2" taller (1/4"each side). Does anyone know if i can use the larger stock e46 tire size or would i have to switch out the tires? Or would i have to roll the fenders on either application?
