Up for sale is My '98 Ti with S52 Swap only 35k miles..
california roof top. the engine has been swapped to a S52 M3 motor. (35k miles)CArbon fiber hood.. cold air intake system. ..e46 M3 Front Bumper. Looks like it has an OBD1 conversion by the looks of the older style vanos unit and M50 intake manifold. This would be a no no for states that do emissions related inspections.

new york has pretty strict emissions rules... not sure how he's getting around like that

Looking closer at that pic, it's not the vanos, it has a whole s50 valve cover, possibly head, so it definitely has either an OBD1 conversion or it's an s50 engine or even worse, an m50 with an s50 valve cover.

That's a common problem with fitting large replacement hoods -- especially those made from carbon fiber or fiberglass. They flex a bit and you're unlikely to get a good fit without a lot of adjustment. I spent several hours layering fender washers and adjusting shims to get my CF hood to sit properly, and it's still not perfect.

Just out of curiosity, what brand is your hood? Was it part of the bimmerforums group buy?
