Default rebuilds from RockAuto?

I replaced my failing unit with a used one, which is now failing. Though not much of a replacement job, I'd rather not make it a seasonal event, and am considering a re-manufactured one from Rock Auto.

Anyone used one of these? There seems to be quite a price spread, ~$150-$250, including a couple return & rebuild options.

I have another used one if you care to try again. I am surprised that you are having issues. Are you using atf as your fluid? Using regular power steering fluid will eat the seals in the system. Maybe there was some of that in your system which caused the second pump to fail. Idk, just thinking out loud!

No, did thorough ATF flush then new reservoir + ATF at swap time. Same issue as before, noisy at startup in morning.

Maybe it was one of those @#$%$@#% prior owners that did the PS fluid. A quart (never used) came with my car which may have contributed to its demise..

And, yeah, I'm willing to try again, I guess. A little messy but not especially difficult.
