OMG... not the infamous sugar-free gummi bears, I hope!

Oops... sorry... we're dragging this thread VERY far off-topic.

A big package arrived yesterday

I have a rear main seal, starter rebuild kit, and all transmission mounting bolts and washers enroute from Gutenparts. I need to apply antiseize and retorque every piece of stainless hardware I have put on the motor since I was unaware of it's reaction in other metals. After I do that and install the rear main seal the engine and trans can go together and I should be able to put them in the car.

I need to clean out the whole inside and figure out some miscellaneous hardware that is sitting in a cup on the passenger floor board as well.

Started cleaning all of the dust out of the interior Friday

Got about 75% of it clean up but it was dark out by the time I finished up for the day. Need to do some touch up on the motor this week as well as anti-seizing all of the stainless hardware.

I missed working on this but I really need to get my motivation boosted so that I stay at it

Finished cleaning up the back half of the inside

needed the steering wheel off of the work bench so I threw it in=)

also needed the rear seats/cards out of my living room so that all went in too=)

I really like the look of the rear head rests from the back. Also threw the MHW's on the other day as you can see.

The passenger side seat/foot well area is pretty much cleaned up and about half of the drivers side is done.

Should be doing the antiseize on the engine in the next few days and putzing around on miscellaneous other things.

Earl, dumb question. What is the feature difference on the MHW Taillights?

Not dumb at all.

The outside edge has a charcoal gray strip, the inner edge has a clear area (like a rear fog), the reverse light is charcoal, and then the rest of the light is smoked.

haha thank you. I will be swapping out the all reds and the MHW's randomly. I need to finish my smoked amber corners to go with the MHW's as well.

Taken me nearly a week to read through the entire thread! Was the least I could do to show some mad respect for the work you've put into this ti. It's unbelievable to see the depth of work that can be undertaken just to have an end product you'll be happy with.

I'm relatively new to the forum also, race a 318ti in the UK and also have one on the road with many plans! But I'm currently a student so can't afford to start any of the work, your build just makes me want to get started! Will be a few years before I can start on mine, with probably a lesser level of attention to detail than this though

Buzzing to see this project finished!
