Mine is the Hellrot one, but most people just see a red blur and a trail of dust | | | 03-19-2010, 02:18 PM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: atlanta Posts: 145 | Hey guys, I'm in North Atlanta. Silver '97 318TI Manual w/AT Italia 17" rims (similar to BBS RK), OEM ///M package, "OEM" clear lenses, center armrest, depos, Magnecor, etc... I used to have a white one but totaled it a few years back. On occasion I drive a black 97 M3/4, but it's been in the garage all winter. | | | 03-19-2010, 02:48 PM | #9 | Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Woodstock Posts: 35 | I've been looking at that one and also a white one but they sold the white one. It's an automatic tranny. I'm looking for a 318ti but not with automatic. | | | 03-19-2010, 03:31 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Atlanta Posts: 233 | Unfortunately mine is auto but I am going to do the manual swap soon. Should be a fun challenge. Glad to hear that it's not just SoCal people on this forum. | | | 03-19-2010, 03:36 PM | #11 | Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Woodstock Posts: 35 | Let me know on how hard the swap is since autos seem to be more plentiful. Love to actually get up close to one and have a look see at some point. I've got plenty of tools if you run out of something. | | | 03-19-2010, 03:49 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Atlanta Posts: 233 | Quote: Originally Posted by rbwdriven Let me know on how hard the swap is since autos seem to be more plentiful. From what I have read, it is a challenging project but definitely not impossible. I think I'll be able to break even after I sell the auto transmission. | | | 03-19-2010, 04:02 PM | #13 | Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Woodstock Posts: 35 | Makes sense. My wife is a car chic so she is pretty understanding when it comes to that. The only thing I really was not allowed at the house to have is a welder. "You'll burn the house down". i needed on so ended up buying it. | | | 03-19-2010, 04:21 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Atlanta Posts: 233 | Haha, nice. I guess a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. | | | 03-23-2010, 03:07 PM | #15 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: SC Posts: 16 | Noticed that there are a ton of these for sale in ATL (on craig's list). I am just getting into it, and looking for some to drive and get a feel for one before I buy one. BTW - great forum. Looking forward to learning more! | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
