Mine is the earlier narrow one. It has a small block on the underside that fits in the top of the storage tray to hold it in place. It just lifts off if you want access | | | 04-21-2013, 04:36 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2011 Location: Phx Posts: 196 | Just bumping this for a used or cheaper alternative before buying it new. | | | 04-21-2013, 05:55 AM | #8 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Denver, Colorado Posts: 3,212 | I bought one from leatherz.com. All you need to buy is the armrest lid and screw it on to you center console. It comes with everything you need and you keep your cup holders. | | | 04-24-2013, 08:33 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2011 Location: northampton Posts: 129 | Quote: Originally Posted by mreroc This one? | This seems like a great deal. i would have def bought one when i had my bimmer. hated that i had no soft place to rest my arm. | | | 04-24-2013, 09:13 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2011 Location: Phx Posts: 196 | Yeah, I'll probably just buy it. Was bumming around for used parts first. Never mind spending money on engine/suspension, but seem to always get cheap on the non performance items. I've been using a thermos in the front cup holder for over a year to prop my arm on. Probably time to do it right. | | | 04-24-2013, 11:59 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2011 Location: northampton Posts: 129 | HAHAHA, a thermos, i can just picture it. must be uncomfortable as hell. did you ever use the thermos for its intended purpose? made my night haha. dont know why, but its a hilarious replacement for an armrest. :-) | | | 04-25-2013, 12:02 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2011 Location: Phx Posts: 196 | Nope, solely as an armrest...wrist rest really.
