Default 98 e36 carbon fiber steering wheel info?

Will this wheel off of a 1998 E36 3 Series fit onto my 96 318Ti and swap my air bag over? Looks basically the same.

I was thinking about getting the leather parts covered in Black Alacantra suade or whatever however you spell that, and Blue/Red stitching to boost the M theme on this car, I plan on getting Black Vaders from A M3 with the M color stripes and want to restitch the seams myself in red/blue combo also.

That is an aftermarket wheel, no BMW's came with that as an option. I do remember seeing this on some after market website as part of a carbon fiber interior kit for e-36 (not the Ti), not sure if it was BMP design, Bekkers Import, Turner... One of those for sure. If it came off of an e-36 it will fit the Ti no problem.

Thanks Yoda, I wonder if I can find more info on who and where it was made.
Looks like a OEM wheel with the stampings ect, A stock wheel taken and modified?
It does feel like a OEM part but true, I could not find this wheel in any of the BMW catalogs.
I guess I will be one of the cool guys with a CF wheel, I like having a rare part.
I plan on going CF in my interior and exterior so this will start my CF theme on this car.
I am starting a CF thread!
