A little off topic, but is there a happy medium between the dual-mass flywheel and a lightweight flywheel? Like, something in the 20-ish pound range?

Apparently some 318ti from Europe - UK? that came with no A/C had single mass flywheels factory, now I don't know how valid this is, so lets just call it a interesting rumor, something that I'm going to be keeping in the back of my mind for a future research subject.

Think it was the E30 M42 with no A/C that came with single mass. My M44 compact with no A/C has dual mass. It is quite a small diameter though, so if you are going to put more power through it better to go iwith the M20 upgrade, or for a single mass conversion for 328 which they sell in the UK.

I have been piecing together the suspension for this Club Sport... before I take all the stock items off I was wondering if any one with stock club sport suspension has measured ride height? It seems like this car sits high in front.

This was my initial plan for the next phase of Project Club Sport but things have snowballed a bit. Taking a little more time to establish a solid foundation will be worth it in the long run.

Nice Ed!

from you earlier lightened FW comment, did you ever do that?

I put a altered M20 FW on my 91 318ic M42 removing the dual mass FW and it was worthwhile for me. Just needed to take the starter ring from the dual mass FW and transfer it to a M20 FW.

Just a mention!

Rhymes with 'Ninan'... I can't everything away then you will have nothing to read when I finish the next update.

Other than collecting parts I have not made much progress...

I finally got in a 3 piece Samco hose kit (ordered in July) but there appears to be an issue.

Hopefully I will get the intake boot before 2013!

Finally getting back to the ti project. I pulled it in and got it ready to work on today.

A little simple green and a scrub brush go a long way.

I have more cleaning to do. The leaking oil filter housing and leaking power steering have made a mess under the car. Nothing some brake cleaner and simple green can't take care of.

Removed the front rotors and sway bar. The brakes will be replaced with larger units and the sway bar will be replaced with a larger adjustable unit. All of the stock bits including the sway bars and calipers will stay with the car in case a future owner wants to return it to stock.
