I just picked up an S50 swapped '97 ti about two weeks ago. I've been looking for one of these for a while and am very happy with it. Looking forward to meeting more people here as my BMW knowledge could use a bit of help. I'll put some pictures up in the next few days. By the way, does anyone know of a set of countours for sale? My car has a set of 5 spoke 18's and while the car looks nice, I sort of want to go down to 17's and keep the M3 look. Thanks again. | | | 11-07-2013, 03:49 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Roanoke, VA Posts: 472 | Welcome to the Org! | | | 11-08-2013, 04:09 PM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2013 Location: Norfolk Posts: 20 | Welcome!! | | | 11-10-2013, 04:45 PM | #4 | Member Join Date: Oct 2013 Location: Washington DC Posts: 36 | Thanks guys. Are there any meets or track or autocross events in the area that are held regularly? Thanks in advance. | | | 11-10-2013, 07:29 PM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Tidewater Sports Car Club has events in the area. I'm not too far from you in Elizabeth City. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 11-13-2013, 01:18 AM | #6 | Member Join Date: Oct 2013 Location: Washington DC Posts: 36 | Thanks for the info. I signed up for their website and I'll try to make it to both their meeting on Thursday and the event on Sunday. Looks like there's a bunch of really good cars in that group, can't wait to meet them. E-city is about an hour away from me or so. | | | 11-24-2013, 09:13 PM | #7 | Member Join Date: Oct 2013 Location: Washington DC Posts: 36 | Well I wasn't able to attend the autocross but plan on doing so next season. By the way, I finally got a picture of my car. Here it is, just picked it up a little over a month ago. It's got an S50 swap and it runs great. I'm still working on a few bugs it has but I'm very happy with it. | | | 12-30-2013, 03:54 AM | #8 | Member Join Date: Oct 2013 Location: Washington DC Posts: 36 | Updated pic with the BBS wheels. Gotta work on the slight rub which only happens in certain areas but I'm really enjoying the beefy look on the tires, plus the ride is way better than it was with the 18's. There's also a pic of the engine bay... Last edited by JGC; 12-30-2013 at 04:20 AM.
