Default RIEGER REAR OR E36 M REAR?

Hey everyone!

Im new to this forum and thanks for all the helpful information!!! Im in a bit of a dilemma as im not sure as to which rear bumper to choose for my silver ti. I was contemplating on either a rieger e46 rear or a e36 m rear. Which do you guys think will look better for a ti?

thanks!

Don't put E46 parts on an E36, it just looks tacky.

Look up "Juni" on the forums here...He has the rieger rear bumper.
I have the E36 M rear bumper (M-Technic) on my car. I think a have a picture or 2 in my gallery...

Personally, I like the m-tech bumper. The rieger bumper is too extreme for my taste...

If you decide to go with the E36 ///M-Tech rear, I have one for sale. The color is artic silver and I'm asking $250 shipped in the U.S.. Now as far as the Rieger rear bumper, they can be kinda pricey, and the look will take a while to grow on you, but it all ends up depending on what direction your going with your car. Just check out my gallery and look at the pics.

tacky ??? would you agree that the e46 m3 looks more modern than the e36 model ? why not add parts from a new design, keep your car looking up to date, i mean if you think adding year 2000+ parts to your car is tacky then put plastic wheel trims on instead of alloys. i have the full e46 conversion on my ti and give it 2months and it will be cover car for every modified bmw magazine in the uk, il add a pic of it from 2months ago and let me know what you all think.

I also think it is tacky. our cars are boxy and the e46 is more rounded. also the e46 bumper looks way to big on our front ends making it look out of place. just my opinion the e36 m3 bumper owns the 318ti

hehe thanks for the offer Juni! Im actually from australia and leaning towards putting an e36 m rear. I like the e46 front alot as its actually the reason why im getting a kit put on mine. I like the riegar bumper from a close view look but from far it looks a bit longish or makes the back look abit narrow. thanks for the replies guys!

It can win all the shows in the world, I just don't like it. It doesn't fit the lines of the car. That's why they make chocolate and vanilla. If you like it then more power to ya'

Yeah, for the rear bumper you should go with the E36. I actually like the E46 M front bumper on the ti though. The ti is the only E36 that I think can pull off a E46 front. But I have to agree with everyone else that the E46 Reiger rear looks tacky on a E36.

ok obviously you guys are a little confused. I have the entire rieger body kit (front, rear and side skirts) and none of it came from a 2000+ model. its simply e46 LOOK. try to put this parts on an E46 M3 and see what I mean. but just to contribute to the thread..... go with the rieger if you plan on getting the entire kit. the rear skirt alone looks weird just by itself.

It all comes down to personal taste, if you think it looks good, then it looks good, that's why you can refix the factory parts with other parts, because not everyone thinks the E46 bumper looks good. It all depends on what you can afford and if YOU like it.

I think we all understand they are parts designed to make an e36 look like an e46. My opinion stands.
