Default Parting out: DASC, M44 + Tranny

Recently as you may or may not know, I have had some issues in this nanny state of california with my car. It did not pass smog because of a number of things, I got absolutely fed up with my engine, I had to replace the ignition coil, spark plug wires, spark plugs, etc etc… All without having space to work on the car.

Long story short, I bought a Z4, decided to get a decent work space and proceed with an S52 swap in my 318ti, along with the rest of the M3 front suspension/brakes pieces.

As a full disclosure I am stating all of the facts of things that were wrong with my car:

Occasional misfire on cylinder 4, repaired with new ignition coil, spark plugs and wires. Spark plugs have less than 500 miles on them. Most recently it started throwing a P0455 code which stands for a leak in the EVAP system, so I got completely fed up with the damn thing, and decided to go for the true and tested swap to get more power, now that my engine turned out to be falling apart, and the sate of CA was being a huge pain in the ass about it despite the thing being CARB legal.

REALLY noisy alternator (I think), definitely not selling it - it worked great but it made so much noise...

Anywhoo - cutting to the chase here..

For sale very soon (as soon as I secure garage space):

SOLD Downing Atlanta Supercharger Kit, suitable for M42 or M44 engines: I will have both sets of pulleys, M42 pulley will be a 2.7", and both sets of brackets to mount to either engine. I will have the Supercharger unit rebuilt before sale with new oil + bearings, etc..

SOLD The kit will come with the smaller than OEM M44 pulley (3.4", 3.6" is OEM, likely makes about 0.5-1 PSI more boost), Really small M42 Pulley (2.7"), M44 Throttlebody, Ford Mustang 30LB injectors, E36 M3 3.0" MAF and all the intake boots that are brand new (less than 2k miles on them, and I drive a LOT). Fuel lines pre-cut to length. CARB card (to try your luck if you're from CA).

SOLD Additionally, as part of the kit, I will have an unused Innova Wideband O2 sensor + software + Gauge, boost gauge, and many more things. I can guide you through the process and if you do not live in a state of CA and are desiring more power without much work, this thing is great. I believe that with a healthy motor someone can have a very good car thats reliable. I think that my TI is a lot faster than my 2.5l Z4, and definitely feels like it has way more oomph above 3k rpm, when the M54 kind of looses a lot of it.

The following post will have a full list of things + prices I will have for sale off my car.

Thank you all, feel free to ask me anything.

Hi Dave,

The airbox is unmodified,I have removed the foam as it was falling apart and getting into the intake. But other than that it's all there.

Cheers,
Artem

Hey guys, just wanted to see if my prices are scaring people or what? If I'm way off, let me know - I am very flexible. I want to get this project under way so I need to know there is interest in all this stuff.

I would like to secure a space in the next month or so and I will want to tear the car completely apart for this go-around, anything you may want can sell, as I will be replacing most of the front end and most of the drivetrain (aside from the 2.93 LSD).

Thank you all in advance and I will gladly help out in any way I can to anyone buying any of my stuff.

Once you get rid of the exhaust and have the mounting parts (brackets that mount the catalytic converter to the transmission), PM me please.

Artem! Sorry to hear about California. Glad you're doing an S52 swap though, that's going to be sweet! I'm about halfway through an M52 swap right now, looking forward to seeing your progress!

Interested in the DASC. How many miles on the unit itself? and also possibly interested in the block, and by block do you mean complete short block or just the bare block?

DASC had unknown miles when I got it, PO estimated on the order of 20k or so. It has about 15k more on it. It doesn't make any noise or anything and I can document the rebuild process of the blower with pictures.

The block I mean the complete bottom end, not just the cast iron portion.

Cheers,
Artem

I am 100% interested in the DASC, the block would just depend on how much shipping would be to get it to New Mexico. You said that the exhaust would come with the SC if at your asking price, but i like the quiet of a stock exhaust. How much do you think you would sell without the supersprint?

PMs Responded. Thank you guys for keeping me going with this. This will press me into doing the swap, once the S/C and all the parts are off the car.

Cheers,
Artem
