Question BMW E30 M3 S14 ENGINE?

There is an e30 m3 engine and tranny for sale on ebay. I know these are bigger 4cyls then ours. But i don't remember what kind of HP or torque they make? anyone know? How hard is it to swap an e30 motor into an e36? is the power worth it?

Yeah thats it, the guy said it makes 195hp stock- not sure of that is correct?

How about a more common swap then.. the 2.5 or 2.8 from the other e36's ... finding a e36 or e46 m3 engine is probably harder and more expensive. I need more power.. I know in Europe they made the 323ti and 325ti which means those swaps are pretty simple, I also know from message boards that the 2.8 and m3 engine have been done,

Another engine I am curious about but have heard of any swaps is the e46 3.0 which is almost as fast as the m3. can that be done? I would think that would be the best swap to do.

The best thing to do would be to find an OBD-II motor if you are looking at a 1996-1999 ti.
Anything is possible.
I suppose if I could have my wish I'd want an S54 or Euro S52.

It is difficult to use the E46 3.0 M54 because it has electronic throttle control.

I've done both. Started as an Auto, then swapped the tranny to a 5 speed. Lots of work, lots of money.

why do u say they are easy to get in NY? any EURO or JDM motor is usually BIG BUCKS for my experience.

but yeah i remember the 2001 m3 was the first one to get the same HP and the other countries.
