Nice guy---scanned my poor car. If I can make it to a meetup---I'll bring my camera rigging. However, ideal photos need to be taken at 2 times of day, early morning, early evening. Towson Circle, which is close to the Barnes and Noble in Towson, has a parking structure practically across the street. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie...49.76,,0,-4.95 There are also some places to eat--etc. I would nominate this as an ideal location. That being said, I don't know if I can make Sunday either. I'll keep checking back. | | | 06-29-2009, 02:25 PM | #18 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Well, if the 12th doesn't work, what about Sunday the 19th? What day does work for you guys? I can't do the 18th because I'll be at the DIY event swapping out subframe bushings, can't wait. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 06-29-2009, 05:26 PM | #19 | Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: PA Posts: 89 | DAVE! sorry again for not replying to much i've just been busy with a lot of things lately. Any of the days you've been talking about sound good to me. Let's try the 19th if that's going to get more people to the meet. Where's this location in terms of, near the Towson mall? That's pretty much all I know down there and The Recher. | | | 06-29-2009, 05:53 PM | #20 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: College Park, MD Posts: 152 | Quote: Originally Posted by jonas Where's this location in terms of, near the Towson mall? That area is a little more quiet than the Towson Mall, IMO. | | | 06-29-2009, 07:39 PM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Sounds good to me, is the 19th better for most people?? __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 06-29-2009, 11:11 PM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2009 Location: Columbia MD Posts: 215 | Can't do the weekend of the 19th weekend at all, but the 12th would work for me. __________________ *Except 318ti '97 318ti M-Sport '95 M3 BMWCCA | | | 06-30-2009, 12:21 AM | #23 | Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: PA Posts: 89 | Quote: Originally Posted by Times Past The Recher, past Barnes and Noble---going down York Rd. But I don't know yet. Between work, family and doctors---July seems a bit a mess. Two month weekend look ahead July 4/5, 11/12, 18/19, 25/26 August 1/2, 8/9, 15/16, 22/23, 29/30 Columbia Social is Thursday the 9th. If it's on a Sunday---this old person has to leave early, because work and stuff on Monday. | | | 07-10-2009, 03:47 PM | #25 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: College Park, MD Posts: 152 | Hey guys--- So there's been some confusion about the Towson meet up. Please give feedback...we're trying to do a meet up this month. I think that when the server went down that it messed up the Towson thread. July 18/19 is out 18th Spidertri is going to be at the DIY working on his TI 18/19 is bad for MPWR & ///M44ti RedDog will try and make Meet Ups but right now, best dates aren't clear. Bullmand who will be attending the BMW club autocross on July 11th at Summit Point Raceway, can make the 12th or either the 18/19th. BMW_Hatchback liked the 12th. MPWR & ///M44ti (I think) can make the 12th. I can probably make the 12th, depending on time. Last I read, I thought that we were going to try Sunday the 12th, which is this Sunday. If you all want to give it a try, that'd be cool. If not, then I guess we'll have to look for another date. If I didn't catch someone, please let them know. Hope to see everyone soon!!! But basically I don't know what the weather is going to be like---if we're just getting together for drinks/food/chat weather might not be a big issue. Parks of the garage are covered... Well like they say...if you don't like MD weather, wait 5 minutes. "Early Afternoon" is what? 1-3pm? | | | 07-10-2009, 04:11 PM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Elizabeth City, NC Posts: 3,877 | Yeah I was thinking around 1 or 2pm. That sucks about the weather but if we meet in a garage then it shouldn't be a problem? Plus then no one has to worry about washing their car. Also, I don't know how you got Xeno on that list but he lives in NC, lol. And I believe Jake's318ti = 318ticruiser. __________________ ~Dave~ 98 328ti Morea Grun slicktop 11 128i space gray slicktop 13 JGC WK2 Deep Cherry Search | RealOEM | | | 07-10-2009, 04:21 PM | #30 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: College Park, MD Posts: 152 | Quote: Originally Posted by spidertri Yeah I was thinking around 1 or 2pm. The only ones I worry about are the guys in VA, PA and Western MD that have somewhat of a drive. I think we might get a better response for 2, depending on the demographics. I think Xeno was being smart and posted to one of the MidAtlantic threads...so I was being a arse and sent him a nudge. NC isn't THAT far... You still haven't washed your car---have you... Anyone I couldn't get on PM, I posted on their Wall. Last edited by Times; 07-10-2009 at 04:23 PM.
