I just picked this up in a partial trade for my e36 m3 lux package sedan. 98 M Sport California top, and yes, it is a proper transmission. I've always had a soft spot for ti's, and this is my first one. For now, it will be on daily duty and will be off limits unless something breaks.
I've had probably 10 or so e30s, and the m3 was my first e36. In addition to the ti, I still currently have 3 e30s: an 89 325ix coupe that I picked up as a cheap winter beater, an 88 325 sedan that is in the process of getting an s50, and a 92 325ic project that I picked up for the girlfriend. Until that is ready, she'll have to deal with the California top
I have been amazed at the amount of (useful) info from this site already. Can't wait to get more into it!
Update: Got a few pics. Not very good ones, but it's a start.
Here's the ti
Snapped a few pics of my ix too since its here. Not pretty, but for $700 and working awd it's hard to complain. The current daily beater until I can get to the DMV to register the ti. The ix flares were half on when I got it, so I pulled them off until I can figure out how to mount them all properly.
Current state of the s50 swap car. Engine coming out the bottom with the subframe is easier than pulling it from the top. I'm the second owner of the car with records back to day one. Never selling this one
No pics of the vert yet, will try to get some later.
