I don't remember where exactly, but I could look it up if you need it.. | | | 07-20-2006, 12:02 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | I mentioned the connector that hides under the arm rest before. Cali-Ti posted a sticky about it. Also, there is a power wire that comes through the dimmer switch of the interior lights. The wire is used by the radio head unit to dim the display. My Blaupunkt uses it. When I adjust the dimmer for my dashboard, my Blaupunkt display dims as well. Couldn't you just use that? At least my trim ring is illuminated. | | | 07-20-2006, 12:20 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: state college, pa Posts: 3,431 | The lighter mod was originally a Ron Stygar thing. Search for his page and the illuminated shift knob, it'll give you the wire colors for everything. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 07-20-2006, 06:04 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2003 Location: cary, nc Posts: 2,259 | yep i got it working guys thanks a lot...i used the lighter illumination ring...because with the reloacted lighter mod, i used a different lighter that didnt have an illumination wire harness so it was just chilling there not plugged up. i soldered some metal tips to the end of the wires on the light, plugged it into the wiring harness, and it works fine and dims with the rest of the interior lights... so yeah thanks anyway guys...mr. bentley helped me out on this one. __________________ 1995 318ti Active Pioneer Speakers [] Aluminum Billet door locks [] ACS Pedals/Deadrest [] ACS Shift Knob / E-Brake Handle [] Clear Corners/Tails/Sides [] Sylvania Exterior Lighting [] Custom CAI [] Dinan Engine Chip [] Dinan Transmission Chip [] H&R Race Springs [] Tokico Illumina Shocks [] BMW X-Brace [] Relocated Lighter Mod [] Custom iPod Mod http://www.cardomain.com/id/robcarync | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
