Default camshaft sensor

Curious if anyone went off brand with any luck? Genuine runs 111.00 cheapest I can find. Any other leads cheaper? Bimmerbum?
I'm adding this to my cooling overhaul bin.
Part # 12 14 1 743 072
Thanks

Nobody has used an aftermarket sensor? Was just wondering if I could cut cost here...

Default I do!

I do all the time, but keep in mind i work on cars for a living and get the little things warrantied all the time too. Just did my wife's E38 one the second time in 2 years. Had good luck with the one I put in the ti so far tho. It's a risk.

I've purchased from BMAparts.com in Southern CA. Best price I've found and they sell the Bosch unit which is the same as OEM. No issues with the replacements I've bought.

I bought mine from Advance Auto. They carry the Beck A. camshaft sensor. Around $130.
P0340 code has not come back since replaced 1.5k miles.

Both camshaft and crankshaft sensors at BMAparts.com are less than $130 each, shipped with no shipping or sales tax. Oh, and they're OEM not aftermarket.

130 for both? Where do I find that? I see the camshaft sensor for 120...

No, sorry, bad grammar on my part, but I've corrected it now. That is each, but again, it's OEM.

Don't buy aftermarket...they can be bad right out of the box!

sorry it took so long, was cleaning out the garage a bit yesterday and came across the box I got my last cheapy Cam sensor in. its a Hamburg-Technic. if I remember correctly I paid like 35 or so bucks for it. I drive the car 2 or 3 times a week and haven't had any issues recur. my wife has the same brand in her 740iL and drives it daily with no issues.
