Default i tryin to do a swap but not sure on wiring
i have a 1996 318ti(m44) an i want to put a m50 or m52 in it but who can do the wiring for me in baltimore,md?

The wiring is not hard if you get an OBDII motor. Jim's swap manual has the info needed, I'm about to order one myself for my swap.

i dont kno the difference between obd1 or obd2...what r they

Anything made from 96 on is OBDII, 95 back is OBDI. Its the on board diagnostic system, basically the wiring and computer. Do the swap, get an OBDII computer, have the EWS aligned and it should work just fine.
