What a pain in the ass. I hate coolant. I wish I lived somewhere warm enough to just run water and Water Wetter. | | | 10-27-2011, 05:03 AM | #1764 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | changed the oil in my cordoba ti, I also found out how hard it is to get a lowered car onto a center post lift | | | 10-28-2011, 03:05 AM | #1765 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Posts: 1,364 | It took me awhile to round up all the parts necessary to retrofit my 98 base ti with cruise control. BMW doesn't stock the kit any longer, and buying the parts separately from the dealer is way expensive. So...got on the internet and the phone and before too long I had all the parts together; totaled up about $400, I think. Then I had to wait until the weather cooled off before my very competent indie mechanic would agree to install and wire the whole thing up. That is a job that I think is a little beyond what I want to tackle myself. I did save him time and me a little money by taking out the glove compartment and the underdash components left of the steering wheel and hang the cruise control ECU, and the control stick. If this project comes in under $750, I'll be very happy. Funny, my base model has heated seats, but came without cruise control. I've been surprised to see the number of sport models that don't have cruise. | | | 10-28-2011, 03:07 AM | #1766 | Moderator Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: SoCal318ti Posts: 1,574 | Quote: Originally Posted by trikzta installed a 325is Zender spoiler and a carbon fiber antenna | Pics!!!
