Flexible plastic design, everything I need is from original bumper or provided, except for the M-tech brake ducts. __________________ 1998 (July) 318ti, 5-spd OEM Armrest Blaupunkt Heidelberg CD50 CD Player/Compact Drive MP3 Player Diamond Audio 5.25" rear speakers Navman ICN 530 GPS BMWALARM.COM (with comfort settings) after market alarm system Magnecor 8.5mm wires M-Z3 Shifter/Momo Knob Burlwood Dashboard Stromung Exhaust X-brace Racing Dynamics Front Strut Bar Carbonio C.A.I. 17" Rial Rims Vader Seats/Heated/Lumbar Support M-tech Steering Wheel/Front Sway Bar/Front & Rear Bumper Depos/w 6500K Angel Eyes/6000K HIDs Clear Corners M3 Mirrors UUC Light Weight Flywheel/M5 Clutch/M3 Clutch Slave E28 3.46 LSD/Mcoupe Cover/E30 Flanges & Halfshafts UUC S.S. I also am in the process of buying a used bumper support so I can bolt it together, and take it to a paint shop before installing it on my car. | | | 09-29-2006, 10:38 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | I talked to my paint shop, he said not to worry about the paint cracking during install. I had him paint my M-tech rear bumper, and the bumper was very flexible after I got it back. Quote: Originally Posted by Mad-Machine I got mine too.. beautiful piece. It's just weird seeing a Mtech without the "BMW" center impact strip. | | | 09-30-2006, 12:45 AM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | oh? that is good to know.. and would save me $50. Maybe I should go talk to the body shop next week and see what they say. I know with plastic pieces they need to add a 'flex agent" to let the plastic move without cracking the paint. | | | 10-03-2006, 10:45 PM | #8 | islander on the mainland Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: SF Bay Area Posts: 286 | Quote: Originally Posted by Panzer_M Is that OEM? you have to have a front license plate in your state right? You have to buy the BMW center strip separately... or at least I did. __________________ moku 1996 318ti Cali Top w/ Downing/Atlanta Supercharger 2003 M3 w/ CSL trunk, splitters, & diffuser | | | 10-04-2006, 01:48 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | I'm taking it off the bumper on the car, don't need to buy another one. Went together fairly easy. The front license plate moulding is made for a German car, so I had to drill holes in it. Pics to follow tomorrow. Looks to be a very good deal overall. I was too lazy to put on the spoiler lip, will do that another day. __________________ 1998 (July) 318ti, 5-spd OEM Armrest Blaupunkt Heidelberg CD50 CD Player/Compact Drive MP3 Player Diamond Audio 5.25" rear speakers Navman ICN 530 GPS BMWALARM.COM (with comfort settings) after market alarm system Magnecor 8.5mm wires M-Z3 Shifter/Momo Knob Burlwood Dashboard Stromung Exhaust X-brace Racing Dynamics Front Strut Bar Carbonio C.A.I. 17" Rial Rims Vader Seats/Heated/Lumbar Support M-tech Steering Wheel/Front Sway Bar/Front & Rear Bumper Depos/w 6500K Angel Eyes/6000K HIDs Clear Corners M3 Mirrors UUC Light Weight Flywheel/M5 Clutch/M3 Clutch Slave E28 3.46 LSD/Mcoupe Cover/E30 Flanges & Halfshafts UUC S.S. Then also consider that I got the paint job done for cost, friend of the family.
