Default Brake light on dash

Does the brake light on the dash come on for fluid or when the sensor wears down? I got a brake light and then it went away. My front look like they are completely ready for replacement so I;m doing those but was it a fluid sensor or do I need the pad sensor too?

Any help before I order? Can a pad sensor fix itself and come back on again just because it cleared the shorted metal?

There is one light for pads and another for fluid.

So I guess it was a fluid light and it cleared itself. A brake sensor light would be a sensor that got worn and is toast. Right?

It is the brake light that looks like two drum brakes pads which I don't have...I have all disk brakes.

Thanks

that's the pad wear light, there might be a broken wire or a short somewhere in that sensor

Thanks. I've got pads and a sensor to install. I checked the fluid and it was full so I'm sure the sensor is worn since the pads are completely gone
