Default Newbie help needed

i've had this car for a few months now was running fine for most of that time with no problems i started it and drove over to my workshop stayed there for approx four hours went to start the car nothing, left the car till the next day had a check for spark and fuel etc still nothing disconnected the afm and reconnected and it started first time. A few days later the car cut out at a junction so i jumped out and disconnected the afm and reconnected it started the car and drove away was fine again for a few weeks then after leaving it parked for an hour or so it won't start again i towed it back home and thats where it has sat since. I have plugged in my diagnostics and found the air flow sensor fault so changed the afm and the fault is still there is it possible i have another dodgy afm or is there anythin else to check any help would be appreciated thanks
