Where to get power....?

I am installing an inline FM modulator tonight so I can use my mp3 player in the car. I will be using the stock head unit, where is a good place to tap into to power the modulator??

In my Impreza I just used the cigarette lighter power as it was near where I mounted the modulator, but on the BMW it doesn't look so easy

i've tapped into the cigarette lighter under the plastic before to power a sirius radio. worked fine

I think that is what I am going to do, how do you get the cigarette lighter out?

i took the shift boot out and then there are some screws under the ashtray next to it you have to remove then that whole plastic piece just lifts out
