I am hoping it was just a dying 5 year old Costco battery that was the issue. Fingers crossed. | | | 09-01-2014, 04:32 AM | #215 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2007 Location: norcal - 94590 Posts: 3,186 | Finally got around to replacing the power steering pump on the black ti, as well as the sunroof motor, fixing the passenger window (broken plastic slider), and did an oil change. Will do an oil change on Max tomorrow and maybe tackle the headliner... __________________ James 95 active w/leather interior and sport interior conversion, Vaders, full M-Tech exterior conversion. - Repaired her Passenger Window
- Repaired all the mountpoints on the door card
- Replaced the rear Roundel
- Swapped her 15" Style 30's for a set of Style 18's as the 30's had a bad tire. I have a set of 17" staggered style 30s to restore for her when I get around to it.
- Conditioned all the leather seats
- Replaced an A pillar cover
- Topped off all fluids
She should be good to go until I have her wheels ready. __________________ 1998 318ti Sport - "Cali" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, Cali top 1998 318ti Sport - "Max" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, S52 1997 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior 1995 318ti Active - "Blanca" Alpineweib III/Schwartz leather interior Other Current Bimmers: 2006 530i / 2000 2.3L Z3 / 1997 1.9L Z3 / 1999 540it 1997 318ti Sport - "Huera" - RIP 1995 318ti Active - RIP 1995 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Sold 1994 325i Sedan - "Jade" - Sold 1991 318ic - "Bert" - Sold 1985 635csi sold 1984 533i "Max" Sold 1984 318i sold BMWCCA #160411 SUPPORT 318ti.org! Cleaned the rails as the gunk really made the movement not so smooth. Works really well now and being able to pop the top to vent the car in our 100+ weather will be a good thing for this DD. A few tricks to get it disassembled and reassembled helped make an unknown DIY a bit easier. Thanks Sean for your tips awhile back. It just took me a bit to get to this repair. __________________ 1998 318ti Sport - "Cali" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, Cali top 1998 318ti Sport - "Max" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior, S52 1997 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Schwartz II/Schwartz sport interior 1995 318ti Active - "Blanca" Alpineweib III/Schwartz leather interior Other Current Bimmers: 2006 530i / 2000 2.3L Z3 / 1997 1.9L Z3 / 1999 540it 1997 318ti Sport - "Huera" - RIP 1995 318ti Active - RIP 1995 318ti Sport - "Tiny" Sold 1994 325i Sedan - "Jade" - Sold 1991 318ic - "Bert" - Sold 1985 635csi sold 1984 533i "Max" Sold 1984 318i sold BMWCCA #160411 SUPPORT 318ti.org! Not a plugged sunroof drain as I originally suspected but a missing plug in the body work under the driver's seat. Got the top side of the carpet pretty well dry, but the foam padding underneath is soaked and starting to mold/mildew in a couple spots. Got a couple plugs and a gas pedal ordered for carpet replacement day. Hopefully going to get carpeting from one of the part-out threads. Helping Sean do an almost complete interior swap a few years back, I'm hoping I can do the carpet swap by myself in a day.
