Default My Calypsorot Ti...an Update

So I haven't done a TON of updates to my Ti since I got it back in May, but just wanted to start a little update thread since I posted some pictures a few months ago. This post will have the old pics, the one right below it will have new pics

A little about the car: 1997 Base, bone stock, 5-speed. 139k miles at time of purchase, now has 146k. Calypsorot-metallic is the color.

Things I've done:

BBS RK 17x8 wheels with 225/45/17 Michelin summer tires.

4 stage buff/polish with orbital buffer. Then hand polish and wax.

Fogg'd intake.

Reinstalled fog lights/city lights/clears.

Added M-tech side mouldings/ZHP shift knob.

A ton of maintenance.

So it's not all that much, but the car looks and feels way better than it did when I got it.

Comments welcome, but please keep them on topic, as I'd like to add to this with time, and don't want a lot of off-topic posts. Thanks and enjoy!

New pictures.

They were taken probably 2 or 3 weeks after the last wash/wax/polish, and the car had been sitting outside!

Wow dude, those RKs make the car look 100% better than the steelies. They also look fantastic in person.

Thanks guys! I plan on keeping it for a while...so the build up will be long and far flung.

Suspension. Initially some kind of lowered/sport setup. Bilstein sport/H&R sport seems the tried and true so far...but maybe DDM's C/O setup will prove to be good. Time will tell.

Headlights can wait. Mine work and light up the road enough to see at night, so until they break I'll save my money.

IMO, Calypsorot is one of the nicest colors BMW makes what happened to your grill though?

I took it out. It was in the way when I fogged the intake and I thought it looked better without it.

I like the Calypso too! It's such a deep color. In direct sunlight the car has a very red-orange-metallic hue to it, but in the shade it becomes almost a matte dark-red/purple. so cool.
