Mustta had some acid runs or something cause it burned through my clear coat.. and i sprayed wiped the hell outta it but its still a white sillouette of what used to be... what can i do!?!? | | | 08-17-2009, 09:58 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Wisconsin Posts: 1,895 | Park it in the shade and let the car cool off. Then try gentle abrasives like clay bar and car wax first. If that doesn't help move up to the white Turtlewax rubbing compound. Last resort is the red Turtlewax rubbing compound. Visit Autozone or your local equivalent and see what polishes they have. __________________ ... ʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ | | | 08-17-2009, 10:01 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: Jax, FL Posts: 541 | exact same thing happened to my hood & roof...cleaned it off and it took the CC right off! | | | 08-17-2009, 10:02 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Bremerhaven, Germany Posts: 977 | Quote: Originally Posted by fitrider420 what can i do!?!? | To restore the original paint job or to prevent a reoccurrence? I had some birdcrap hit my brand new windshield and put 3 chips in it! And my new hood looks like its hail damaged from acorns in the senate parking lot. __________________ No more ti. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
