Unhappy Alternator replacement tips

Was driving home and my battery light had been on for about a day had a feeling this would happen. I ran on my battery until it was dead honestly felt like a horror movie in my car seeing all my lights flashing and any doms ticking back and fourth.

Ok point is I just need a few tips what to get out of the way when I replace it I have my battery on a charger at the moment. Any tips appreciated.
