99 318ti m sport

Have a buddy who is thinking about trading his 95 M3 with upgrades for a clean 318 M sport, preferably manual and 99'. Open to colors but has been hunting for dakar..

Dakar II wasn't available except under the Individual Program.
In 97 BMW wanted $1500 extra for a Dakar Yellow II.
There weren't very many 1999s produced.

Man thats tempting, but I don't think I could split with mine. There were only 656 99s that made their way to the US but they did have unique colors, like mine which is Fern Green that was only available on M3s or through individual before 99. I think I've only ever seen 1 Dakar ti. Good luck with everything
