Looks like it would be less than $20 to find out with BMWCCA discount.

Yup, not bad. I can also see why they charge 200 for the harness. That connector, the 4 coil ones, and the labor.

It definitely is a very nice cable. Plus the techflex and heat shrink and the pins (pins are not listed above). The shield ground is the only thing missing compared to a factory coil on plug setup.

I found an E34 being parted on CL locally. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow and see if that connector is still there.

I got the coil harness connector for free off of a 89 525i at the PickNPull junkyard here. Now in the process of making a mounting plate. at least 5 people were selling plates but none of them have responded so time to reinvent the wheel(edit actually i found the old .pdf with dimensions google M42_COP_BRACKET_A1.PDF to get a copy for yourself). I have had a very difficult time ordering any of the existing CoP kits. I found wiring diagrams on another DiY writeup. Once i clear that tiny image up ill post it here. This is a simple product and existing manufacturers never respond so in my opinion its only fair. Once i measure the mounting plate dimensions ill post measurements.

I found mine on a 525i like i said; below it says maybe these connectors are on an e30 somewhere also. I linked 2 pictures of what you should look for.

For future searching. The connector that i got was from:
OEM Part Number: 12 51 1 719 606
ITEM: injector harness

Were you guys able to confirm where this connector comes from?

I've got everything ready to go on a COP conversion excluding the harness connector
My coil still works just fine so I'm not willing to hack it up.

edit: reread thread.

Is the 12511719606 the only place to find it other than on an M44 coil?

'nother edit

That harness comes off the e30/34 with the m20 engine. Coincidentally just started the planning phase of an m20 stroker for an e21 project I've been dreaming about for a while. Time to see what the local junk yards have.

I got sidetracked with a lot of other issues with the car. By the PN, is off an E34 harness.

I'm probably going to remove the connector completely and make a new harness that goes into the junction box. Much cleaner, and that's the way the 6 cylinders are.

If I cant find a donor from local scrap easily I think I'm gonna take a look at how its set up on my buddy's e46 323i and just imitate that. I just get nervous chopping OE harnesses.

I made this a few days ago for myself

Looks like yours.
Haven't tested it yet.

60hr work weeks don't allow for much time to play when you have a girlfriend to squeeze time in there for too

I have all the connectors and the wires still intact so i made it by looking at the pins and tracing the colors. It has to be close. Datatraveler i found that same wiring diagram but those little symbols were confusing me so i made it with the actual plug end shapes.

Connector = 12-52-1-718-125
Connector Boot = 12-52-1-711-262

I have ordered both and can confirm it screws into the M44 harness. I have some pins on order that should be the correct ones for the connector. Once I confirm those I'll put the p/n up.
